What will people say?

Are we truly liberating as human beings? When we are young, we are free spirits, full of hopes and dreams, and full of naivety about the world. As we start growing up, we endure a lot of pressure to fit into society and culture and live in the cultural cocoon.

Politics, taboos, the lack of value given to your opinion, and the absence of freedom to express yourself fully as a human being draw boundaries and create distant frontiers between one human to another.

When we make decisions for ourselves rather than focusing on what we want, we constantly think about other people — what they will think if I do this. When we should listen to our hearts, we listen to people who are not part of our lives, people who do not add value to our character.

Don’t live your life based on other people’s opinions. You need to make choices for yourself. You do not belong to them. Everyone is unique in their own way, and no one is superior to others.

Do not limit yourself just because of what others will think of you. Become a wandering nomad, a mind explorer. We need to put ourselves first to achieve anything in life. This is your journey in life; you need to live it every day. Instead of thinking, “What will other people say if I do this?” you need to mind your own business and stop worrying about naysayers.

In order to live a liberating life, we need to get out of our cultural cocoon and connect with people from across borders, transcending human relationships in a deeper, more meaningful way.

I shall choose myself, over and over again.

I shall not lose myself in the crowd of the maze.

I shall listen to my heart, not to the echo of fear in my mind.

I shall walk through whatever comes my way —

Not listen to

What will people say?
