Reasons to Stay Alive

Reasons to keep going when life feels heavy

I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones, and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life.”— Sylvia Plath

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you don’t see any reason for being alive, everything seems meaningless, colorless, lifeless. When your own people abandoned you when you needed them the most.

The people once that were so close to you, now they are acting so strange, and you feel you don’t know them at all. It can be heavy when those who are supposed to be with you, are not there for you at all. It hurts, I know. When you feel your world is crumbling, you are having the worst feeling ever, and you have no one to look up to. You ask yourself what are the reasons for being alive with all those pains, heaviness, and carrying the burden of the baggage of people.

You are the reason for you being alive, the multifarious version that you will be in the future. Your worth is you. There are people in life who want to see you alive; you have people who care for you and truly love you.

Life itself is a gift. We shall not squander our precious moments with those who don’t belong to our journey.

We are here for a reason, and we need to focus on our higher purpose to make this life meaningful. People may leave you; they may abandon you. There are certain things people can’t take from you, and we should be someone that people can’t take those things from us.

Real wealth is what no one can touch.

We should focus on building what no one can take from us, and that will make us confident and not feel dependent on anyone.

Focus on things like:

  1. Your mindset

2. Your skills

3. Your knowledge (that no one can touch or take from you)

4. your discipline (dedication is important to create anything meaningful)

5. Your health

6. Your character (You are unique; on Earth, there is no one like you)

7. Your purpose (having a purpose or vision for how you want to live your life)

8. Your deeds (Your work and whatever you do reflect who you are as a person)

We have so many reasons to be alive, to feel, to experience, to be loved, and cared for, and to see the different versions of ourselves.
